By Adejumo Kabir
The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has spoken on the total blackout on University Campus.
The Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Isiaka Aransi made this known to our correspondent in a telephone conversation on Wednesday. Aransi said the blackout is affecting the entire University community and some places in Town.
"Students should bear with the university management. It is not a problem from our end. No electricity in any part of the school. It is a general problem from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria. I am presently speaking with you from a hot room in DSA which shows that we are all in it together. We are sure that this will be resolved soon. While we await that, students should please bear with us. The students welfare is our priority", he said.
However, students of the university have expressed their displeasure saying the blackout should not have occurred during tests period.
