The Unjust Arrest of People in Ile-Ife, Osun - Ayuba Quadri
The fashion of hypocrisy expressed by the Federal government and her state security apparatus is not longer thing of surprise to concerned citizens that have sincerely followed and analysed the actions of this government towards security of lives and properties across the country.
This current regiment only pays lip service to its constitutional responsibility of protection of lives and properties , reason can be summed up on the ground of its negligence showed towards arresting chaos in southern Kaduna crisis, Agatu genocide and other " chaos -ravaged" areas in the country and ever since the attack on innocent victims, the govermnent has failed to fish out the culprits who perpetrated such big calamity. What a big shame on the part of this regiment of "Change".
It's quite disgusting and of pedestrian reasoning to see the sectionalized arresting of persons in Ile-Ife, Osun, in consonance with the communal crisis that occurred. The unjust mass arrest and detain in Abuja is quite ridiculous and sheer infringements of rights of people. The security apparatus of the state, is expected to employ fair and just dealings in operating not encroaching on rights at the feign pretence of "doing good job". Such action is condemnable!
If the government can quickly in its archaic and clannish methods of arresting mass of persons in Ile-Ife, Osun state and detained them unlawfully in Abuja but failed in its constitutional duty and moral -demanding- action to arrest situation at appropriate time and brings the culprits to book in Southern Kaduna issue and embarrassingly failed to restore sanity in those tussle affected areas, then, I have no other choice to conclude that " this government and its minions"security agencies" are paragon of hypocrisy and have damaged the political sanctity we nurse in them.
Hitherto, no one has be arrested for grilling or investigation for the animalistic styles of lynching in Southern Kaduna, the decapitation of an old women in northern state. The peace saboteurs are still walking around with impunity despite committing gross national disorder.
Conclusively, the Federal government should deem it politically reasonable and imperative to release the unjust mass arrest of persons in Ile-Ife, Osun. Such barbaric act is anti-people and a total dent on the image of this leadership.
The state security agencies should drop the garment of violation of human rights, illegality that can stab the trusts people have in them, it would be a multiple jeopardy to continue to witness the illegality of the security agencies that ought to protect liberty of people.
