"I Will Establish Fashion and Modeling Industries in OAU" - MBGO 2014 Winner

The Most Beautiful Girl, Obafemi Awolowo University winner in the year 2014, Sharon Tomsek-Obiko has said that if she would establish a social activity in the institution, it would be related to fashion and modelling as she would love to see modeling competition  (not beauty pageantries) in OAU with Investors from the fashion and modelling industries actively involved.


The Edo State indigene who is the only girl in the family and lived in Benin City until she got admitted in to OAU where she is presently in 400 level in the department of Microbiology disclosed this on Sunday, 12th of March 2017 during an interview session tagged: "The Socialites" on LFB Radio.


Miss Sharon disclosed the challenges she has faced such as combining being a beauty Queen with being a student in the department of Microbiology which include unwanted attention from people, and rumours.


When asked if she would like  pageantry again in OAU, She further buttressed that no other pageantry could be as the one she had already won as the Most Beautiful on Obafemi Awolowo University Campus.


"None could be like the one I already won as I was the Most Beautiful Girl in OAU in 2014 even though my parents did not actively support me for that, as my father said he would not send any money in relation to the pageantry while my mother emphasized that it must not have any negative effect on my academics. But both parents were proud of me after I won",  she said.


When Folakemi Opeodu, TheSocialite show presenter asked about appointments and opportunities that she got as a result of her winning the pageantry, she mentioned being the face of a salon but it has closed down. Her lack of appointments after that was attributed by her to lack of knowledge about things like that as she downed down a lot of offers that would have given her exposure for free down because she was not going to get paid for them and there was no form of support from the organizers of the pageantry.


When she was asked about the person making her look fresh and beautiful, she said although she was dating someone, God still remains the source of her freshness and beauty.


When asked to choose between singing and dancing, she said "singing would be less embarrassing than dancing".


She further sang before the show ended.
