The body of all Journalists in Obafemi Awolowo University uses this medium to welcome us all to a new year which we believe will usher in new favorable things for us all.

As we start a new year we want to wish every Obafemi Awolowo University Students abundance of wisdom, intelligence and God favor .

We believe so much that the first few months of the year 2017 comes with a lot of expectations as we would usher in new executives for the Obafemi Awolowo University Students Union, we want to say that as we have started the new year with joy, we should be joyous and peaceful while seeing through all processes that will lead to election of new leaders, while we all await the lifting of ban and unveiling of the electoral time-table by the Electoral Committee, we believe so much that the future of the Union rests not just in the few that will be elected but the mind and hands of majority that will vote, we wish us all the best in the quest for new hands.

We also wish to admonish us all to speak up against perceived irregularities noticed and confirmed in our departmental Associations, Faculty bodies and even Academic activities of the University so we will not be part of the rot in our society.

As the body regulating activities of Campus Journalism in OAU, We will continue to serve as watchdogs to ensure that ethics of Journalism are respected in news dissemination by various agencies on Campus, we would continue to see to the fundamental development of Journalism through observatory and supervisory roles and also will play our role as the voice of the masses diligently .

While we once again welcome us all to the new year and invariably a new semester ,we want to remind the over 35,000 students in OAU that the quest for a better OAU lies in all our hands and our sincerity,we must not fail our obligations.
We also want to seek that we positively contribute to growth of Nigeria wherever we find ourselves.

We would continue to write with the pen without fear or favor and will continue to regulate activities of news agencies fairly to live up to Billings as the varsity with high number of journalists produced who have now become world shakers.
