Groups set to walk against Suicide

A leading group in Nigeria, Plantinum Concept is set to walk against suicide in the country. The Walk is meant to sentisize Nigerians against suicide. The walk against suicide is scheduled to hold on the 27th of April, 2019 at Liberty stadium, Ibadan, Oyo state.

While speaking to the Team leader, Mr Williams he said" Suicide, the most often cited cause of death is defined as the act of intentionally causing ones death.

 Suicide is committed when the victims resistance is overwhelmed by depression or bipolar disorder. However, they are common method of suicide which includes hanging, pesticide poisoning and fire arms.

According to statistics, Suicide has resulted in 2,000,000 global deaths in 2018 an increase from 828,000 deaths in 2015.

This makes suicide the 10th leading cause of death in the world. The purpose of  the project is to rescue people out their in the society planning on taking their lives, that the consequences of jumping from bridge, hanging, pesticide poisoning and firearms are fatal and tragic"

"The project will attract people from all walks of life and to help to overcome the stigma of suicide.This campaign also creates an avenue for everyone to come out and also support the campaign with the #IStandAgainstSuicide."

'To provide our support to the society in pursuit of ending suicide and educating the community on how to overcome the stigma of suicide.Sensitize the community on the importance of supporting human race" he said

"Enhancing, Caring and Peace society free from suicide.To facilitate the process of sharing of experiences by encouraging collaborative reflection by way of Inter Community, Artistic exchanges and documentation of experiences" he added
